This Saturday night Down the Line, a concert held each year at Fort Wayne’s embassy theatre was held hosting five local bands covering the music of Tom Petty, The Beatles, The Cure, Earth Wind and Fire, and John Mellencamp. The shows sell out every year and this year was no exception. The music was great and everyone was getting into it.
The coolest part about it though, (at least for me and my 2D class) was we got to make the projections that went up as the bands played. We all did at least two graphic pieces and they all looped while the band played. I did two for The Cure performed by The Wooden Satellites. Here’s how they turned out:
Here are all the bands that played and the artists they covered:
Kill the Rabbit – Tom Petty
Wooden Satellites – The Cure
Urban Legend – Earth, Wind & Fire
Dash Rip Rock – John Mellencamp
David Todoran and Kenny Taylor – The Beatles
